Two of my bulbs are in bloom. First up are my daffodils which I got from Brecks. Honestly, so far I am happy with Brecks. The bulbs were twice the size then the ones I purchased a year earlier from Sam's club. Here is a shot of them.

Just under an inch...
It rained, and it rained but my rain gauge only show a little under an inch. Luckily I have (4) rain barrels so I should be ok this year. I know that the lack of rain will be bad for the city, but in my heart I believe I should get enough rain for my vegetable and flower garden.

Rain wonderful rain...
With Raleigh at the tail end of a two year drought, every time we get a nice soaking like we did today it is great. I can't wait to check out the rain gauge.

Day 1 on my online Garen Journal...
After Gardening for several years I have come to the realization I need a journal to track my successes and learn from my failures. I thought maybe a online Blog would keep me motivated to keep it going. I have tried in the past to keep a journal only to stop after a few weeks.
